When should I schedule my session?
If you're scheduling a newborn session, the ideal time to capture your new arrival is between 5 and 21 days after birth. To ensure availability, we recommend booking your session early in your pregnancy. Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 30 and 34 weeks to capture your glowing baby bump at its most beautiful. Cake Smash and Milestone sessions are also time-sensitive, so it’s important to book well in advance.
Other session types, such as Family or Boudoir, can be booked at your convenience. However, our calendar fills up quickly! If you have a specific date in mind, inquire as early as possible to secure your spot.
What will be discussed during the initial consultation?
During our consultation, we’ll dive into your vision for your session. We’ll discuss your aesthetic preferences, the type of products you’d like to display in your home, and review our detailed pricing structure. You’ll also receive our Investment Guide and have the opportunity to view examples of our professional artwork and photography style.

Should I bring anything to my newborn session?
Our studio is fully stocked with newborn outfits, wraps, layers, props, backdrops, and accessories, so you don’t need to worry about bringing anything! However, if you have a meaningful family memento or special item you'd like included, we’d love to incorporate it. Just let us know during the booking process so we can prepare to include it in your session.
What if my child doesn't smile?
Not every child is a natural smiler, and that’s okay! I have years of experience capturing authentic expressions and personalities, even for the most reserved little ones. If needed, we’ll engage parents to help elicit natural reactions. Ultimately, my goal is to highlight your child’s true personality, whether that’s big grins or quiet curiosity.
How long before my portraits are ready to be viewed?
Your portraits will be ready for your in-studio Reveal & Ordering Appointment within 7 to 21 days after your session. During this appointment, you’ll view a custom slideshow of your beautifully enhanced gallery and see examples of products, helping you visualize how your portraits will look in your home.
How should I prepare for my session?
We provide a comprehensive preparation guide after booking to answer any questions and ensure you feel fully prepared. This guide includes wardrobe tips, advice on what to bring, and how to prepare yourself and your family for the session. Whether it’s a family, maternity, newborn, or boudoir session, we’re here to help every step of the way.
What should we wear for our session?
We provide tailored wardrobe guidance based on your session type. For families, coordinating colors and simple patterns work well. For maternity, flowing dresses that highlight your bump are stunning. We also have wardrobe suggestions for newborn and boudoir sessions. Before your session, you’ll receive a detailed guide with tips to help you select the perfect outfits.
What happens if the weather is bad for my location session?
Your comfort and the quality of your portraits are our priorities. If inclement weather is in the forecast, we’ll contact you to reschedule or discuss alternative options.
What if my baby or child gets fussy during the session?
Our sessions are designed to accommodate little ones, with plenty of time for breaks to feed, change, or comfort them as needed. We’re patient and experienced in working with children, so there’s no need to worry—we’ll ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone.
I'm worried I'll be uncomfortable during my boudoir session...
This is completely normal! Nearly every boudoir client starts with similar concerns. Our goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where you’ll feel relaxed and confident. We’ll address any worries beforehand and guide you throughout the session to ensure you feel empowered and radiant.
